Clean Your Pool With Swimming Pool Chemicals

Taking care of pool means you need to keep it clean so that people will actually want to swim in it. But it doesn't just take a few sessions of vacuuming and skimming, it also requires you to add some chemicals to keep your pool sanitized and to also keep it from growing algae or becoming cloudy.

There is a simple method of taking care of your pool with pool chemicals. First and foremost you need to make sure that your pH and alkalinity is balanced. This is important because it will effect every other chemical you put into your pool. Check your alkalinity first because this is needed to keep your pH in check. Your alkalinity should be between 100ppm and 150ppm (parts per million). Once this is establish, use pH increaser or decreaser to get your pool's pH between 7.2 and 7.6. Great! Once you have done this then we can start adding other chemicals.

This should remain in balance all season long

Now it's time to sanitize, depending on what kind you use, make sure you always have a sanitizer present in your pool. If you use chlorine, you should be at about 3ppm of chlorine at all times and for bromine keep it at 6ppm. These are the three major elements to proper pool chemical balance. From here we can do some additional chemical additions to make our pool even cleaner.

You can use a weekly dose of algaecide and clarifier to keep your pool free of algae and keep your water looking crystal clear, those choices are up to you but I highly recommend using them.
